It depends on your goal. If you are just trying lose weight then you want to do the 5 mile run as an endurance run once a week and do intervals 3 times a week. Intervals are the best thing for weight loss because they get you metabolism going in ways that 5 miles doesn’t. When people train for a marathon or other endurance event or even for cross country they typically will run a long run once a week to work on endurance and that is really all you need to do as long as you are exercising during the rest of the week

Question by Steve R: How often should I do calisthenics to see a result?
So I’ve realized that I put a whole lot more effort when I’m home doing calisthenics instead of lifting at the gym. The only problem is I don’t really know how much is enough. My questions are:

Which ones should I do?
How often should they be done? (as in how many sets and and how many reps should i do a day and how often a week)
How hard should i push myself? (should i max out all the time?)

I’m 5’10” and about 180lbs.
