This is a short review, A place holder until I fully digest the book.
As it stands though, Marlon has done it again as the others say! Good information , good quality and good routines he himself has used!
In the book, he starts off with a little about himself, loads the books of inspiring pictures either in action training or posing in competitions! Then he delves into the exercises themselves, carefully explaining what they target and proper methods of contraction which should be practiced no matter what style of training you use!
He covers in depth stress methods he’ s used or devised and the results he has achieved using them. From Negatives / stretch (easier achieved with self resistance) to partials for strength and muscle sculpting.

Covering hormonal surge timing for getting the most from your workout, he then covers in depth instructions for each of the stress methods and routines featuring them. The final chapters are his Award Winning (Obviously) Routine he has used leading up to his competition build.
All in all, It’ s a good book, more than 5 star worthy with lots of information, routines and techniques. Yes you can find some of the techniques online or in old books but none of it is put together as well as this, none are updated for the times or have all this information in one place between two covers. A bonus is you get to see on every page what you can achieve which should help inspire even the laziest of us to get off our bums!

Mr Birch has done it again. This book takes you deep into building muscle without equipment, using your own body to create a new body you will be proud of.I personally think it’s amazing how marlon has took dynamic tenson, and turned it around 360 degrees and created a system that has not been put out in other books before by other authors in regards to selfresistance type training.Highly recomended

The author expands on the first book. If you’ve ever done any type of bodybuilding before you may have exoeienced that pumped up feeling where your muscles a swelled with blood. The big bonus with this book is that it is all done without any equipment. You get that skin streching pump in your muscles all in the comfort of your home

A compact unit that measures your effort when pulling or pushing on the handles ..fantastic! But all the movements in the exercise video are wrong-headed: Isometrics involve NO movement, and the extraneous movements they recommend while pulling or pushing on the handles:1/Is NOT being measured, thus isn’t progressive. 2/Distracts you from your full effort where it counts, the basic pull or push, which IS being measured. 23 exercises? No, really it’s essentially TWO exercises, but it’s two really GREAT exercises, which will work the entire upper body. Put all your effort into 1 max-effort push and 1 max-effort pull, with the hands about 8 inches in front of the chest, and as strange as it may seem , you can get a full upper body workout..

This is a great little product for improving arm strength through isometrics. Isometrics is putting your body in a static contraction of the muscles. You either press or pull on the handles and hold the position for the time that you set. So I set it for 10 seconds and either push my arms together or pull them apart and hold the contraction. As you’re doing this exercise which you can do in various positions, the unit shows the force you’re exerting instanteously. It goes up to 200 lbs. But I’ve never exceeded 70 lbs in a ten second set. All you do is hit the power button, wait about three seconds, and then set the timer. It automatically sets to six seconds, and then you hold the timer for the length of contraction you want. So I set it for ten seconds. When you complete your set, it instantly goes back to 0 seconds. And you’re ready to begin the next set either in the same position or a different position, pushing or pulling, your choice. The computer is quick so you don’t have to wait more than a few seconds to begin again. It shows you your maximum force after the set.

Well, it’s fun, easy to use, works to your level, but gives you motivation to push or pull harder as you see the numbers vary. The only improvement might be a sound for the timer clicking away. Otherwise, you’re guessing when the set is over. There is a visible counter and it’s easy to read, bright, and angles inward to see better, but I would have liked a beeping timer or perhaps a voice counting down the seconds. That would have been a great improvement. Then it’s like having a trainer. Imagine if the trainer also counted down, but motivated you to work harder, too.

“Five seconds to go….now pull harder…3, 2, 1…GREAT JOB!” Or maybe you can customize the motivation comments. There’s a lot of possible improvement for the next version.

It’s a great little product, light, easy to use, and obviously will challenge most people forever. I don’t think I’ll ever hit 200 lbs, the maximum force it can measure. Or you can increase the duration of the contraction. But believe me, 10 seconds takes longer than you think. For the price, you can’t beat it.

My wife bought me one for my birthday. It comes with a very extensive chart of workout exercises which are easy and fun to do. I followed the directions, set the timer for 20 second and did reps at 30lbs. So easy to use, I love it! I used it for a good 20 minute workout. Its also great to throw in a suitcase and take on the road. What a great birthday present, I would recommended this product 100%! You can also view the YouTube video to see how it works at: […]
